Two people riding a bike last night saw Bella she is still wearing her red bandana and was running FAST she sipped into some cover. They called 911 two officers came out but they didnt find her IF YOU KNOW ANYONE IN THIS AREA OF CLINTON PLEASE PASS THIS INFO ALONG, They can go to the facebook page findingbelladog for latest updates search groups etc..

sighting was at "Pigpen Corner" where I-90 mets the railroad. An address close to the area is 17700 HWY 10 East. She may be hiding in the field in that area. The other sighting was between mile markers 8 and 9 on the Frontage Road, just north of the interstate that leads to Clinton. Approximately mile marker 119 on the interstate. These sound like very promising sightings, but as we suspected, Bella is much to fearful to come to people. So, for those that want to help in this area, here's what we are asking.

Please check in with us and the page in the morning to see if others are going to check the area. I think large groups are going to scare her off even more, so we want to keep things very small, just one or two people and it would be best not to use ATV at this point in the search. It does not seem that she is going to come to people and we don't want to scare her further off, so again, if you see her, please post on the page or call Dani ASAP. Again, please don't yell out here name, it has been shown that this can make a fearful dog even more weary. Again, we do know that Bella is pretty skittish, so it may not be the best idea to bring your companion dog out with you while you are searching. A dog that she is not familiar with might be overwhelming for her right now.

Due to her fear response, it is unlikely that she will even approach people right now. If anyone does see her, we ask that they call us immediately. It's important for people to remain calm around her and not yell out her name. If she is spotted, it would be best if people got down to a lower (dog) level and averted their eyes away from her, they can hold out their hand with treats to see if she approaches. If she does not approach you or runs/backs up as soon as you move, you probably should not advance on her. Call us, 911 and Animal Control (406-541-7387) and try to keep an eye on her, while keeping a respectful distance, until some back up arrives. The most important thing is not to have her run into the road or highway because she is fearful of someone approaching her. If we can get a confirmed location of where she is, we have access to a humane trap that would help us to get her. I think our best bet at this point is to get a good fix on where she is and get the humane trap set up. Please, check in before going out, so we can make sure there are not too many people out at once, causing her to run off. Thank you everyone!!!! If your wondering why all the fuss over a little dog in Montana the little boy that lost his life in this accident is the grandson of a much loved retriever couple. The surviving brother lost his older brother he loves this dog very much and they need to be together Please spread the word we need anyone in that area to be on the lookout
