Lost deer

Hello everyone, I arrowed a nice buck last week, Had good blood trail. Waited 2 hours. Deer went up the hill, then lost sight, after I shot him He walked away slowly at last sight/and light. Looked for a combined 8 hrs over a couple days. I'm pretty sick about it. Wish I would have totally missed him. Looks like I may have gut shot him even though a farmer said it looked like a lung shot. Any suggestions. I tried calling a guy with a dog but said it was too late. Maybe a carcass dog tracker could find him but don't know of any in the Carrollton, Ohio area.

There are two kinds of hunters, those that have lost an animal and those that will. It doesn't feel good, but don't beat yourself up too much.
