Looking for MT 291 Honey Holes

Yes she is left eye dominant. And needs help in shooting, but is surprisingly accurate to about 150 yards. Hopefully this year we can practice more.

She got a nice buck yesterday. Thanks to Ben for direction on different spots. We got within 40 yards so it was an easy shot.
Knowing I had even the smallest role in helping a kid have a good time on a hunt really made my day.

Although gotta say, I sent a bunch of waypoints yesterday morning and got a text back with photos of a dead buck. She had already sealed the deal on her own and got a great 4x4.

Well, the tag gods smiled upon me this year and I drew a nice mule deer permit. I've spent a day or two in the unit glassing deer during the rut for the heck of it. All the forkhorns were of the XL variety, which seems promising.

Anyone had this tag in the last decade or so and willing to discuss their experience over PM or otherwise? I normally loathe asking for specific info, but this isn't an easy tag to draw and I'd love to collect every possible nugget of info I can to make the most of things.

Appreciate it!
I saw the picture of your buck from last year, Congratulations!!! My dad and I drew the tag as a party, this year. Would you happen to have any pointers on where to start in this unit? Were you able to find more deer in one part of the district over another?
