Doesn't sound like that much of a failure. A guy in your group tagged a OTC Colorado bull which is no small feat. Sure, you didn't pull the trigger but you did 98% of what he did. I failed this year - hit a bull in Wyoming and couldn't find it. That was mid October and I can count on one hand the amount of nights I haven't thought about it. Everyone tells me that if you hunt long enough it happens, but I can't just accept that. It's amazing how thin the line can be between a great success and something that haunts you.
