Leupold CDS

No, you shouldn't estimate. You need to spend some time messing with a ballistics calculator to get a grasp on what you're trying to do
Gotcha, I'm going to run a few of my final load over my chronograph and send it all to Leupold and let the guys that are a hell of a lot smarter than me figure it out.

Do yourself and the animals a favor and invest some time into figuring it out on your own. None of this is very hard and unless you were dropped on your head too many times as a kid, it's not that hard to figure out. Put good information into any of the free ballistic calculators out there and you will get good information out

I don't know how many times I could have been dropped on my head. It was a long time ago!
As far as doing the animals a favor,,,if I don't have 100 % confidence I'm going to make my shot, I'm not going to take it. Unlike others I don't "spray and pray". The Ruger #1 is a one shot rifle. I doubt you would get a second chance on a wounded animal.
So,,, back to the original question I asked, is the CDS turret worth it? The answer was yes it is.
