Should we start a topic about the mis-understandings that show up in the gun rags 'letters to the editor' column?
Did anyone see the one in last months "Shooting Times"? Where a writer from Mena Ar. took us to task for calling 0.284 dia. bullets "7mm"?

Kinda like a .264 not being a 6mm -or is that a .243? Like a .30-06 isn't a .308. Or someone's "12month-old child" not being a one-year-old? Some people were born to argue and excell in debating classes.

Well this particular guy wanted us all to know that a a 0.284 bullet was not a 7mm no matter what. He wanted "someone to get it right". I guess common usage does not apply.
And how often do we see somebody writting in about an author posing with the gun of the week but not wearing safety glasses or hearing protection?
