Decided to use Presidents Day weekend to chase a few fish. Headed to Boysen Reservoir and my buddy Pete and I did fairly well.

The total for the two days we fished was 10 crappie, 14 perch, 1 20" walleye and 1 22" sauger...not bad, but not good either. We lost quite a few fish and they were definately fickle...had to work to catch them.

Anyway, a few pics:

Some closer shots of the crappie...wow, they are pretty darn nice crappie.

That's awesome. I bought a bunch of ice fishing stuff on clearance after a 'winter storm of the century' a couple years ago and haven't been able to use it since we haven't had an ice over since

Very nice!! I meant to give that a try this winter, but once I got around to buy an auger both Cabelas and Sportsmans was out of hand augers. I didn't need one bad enough to drop $250...

Any saugeyes in that reservoir? I've caught them in Lake Sullivan in Indiana.

Those are nice crappie, pretty darn fine perch also. Looks to be some good eats.
