Last Day NV Smokepole Buck

[Big Fin]

After two weeks of hunting for that real big one, I shot this buck on the last day of my hunt. DIY muzzleloader in Eastern NV. It was fun to chase really big bucks, even if I don't have one to show for my efforts.

Saw some real big ones, but with the open sighted muzzleloader, I just couldn't close the deal (under 125 yards). NV really knows how to manage deer. Lots of mature bucks, lots of public land, and few hunters. The country is rugged, but that helps the deer get older.

Had to get back to MT for our deer season. Promised my son we would spend this week chasing whitetails. Off to Eastern MT tomorrow for that endeavor. Hope to have pictures to post by Sunday.
