Kuiu attack pants

As others have stated they are a great pant. I have a few pairs that are probably 10 years old and still use them every season. The hip vents are awesome.
I did have a main zipper break but Kuiu fixed them.

Lots of research but would like to hear opinions from you guys. Pretty much settled on moving to these pants. Thanks for input. I might have asked before but humor me. I'm oldish. mtmuley
I’m a fan of the attack pants. And the Sierra, guide, etc. I have several pairs nearing 10 years old that are still in good enough shape to wear regularly.

I have 2 pairs. I really like the hip vents. They're durable in the sense that they don't rip easily and they're comfy. The pocket size/location on the Attacks is also very good. But I feel like the fabric snags and pills a bit and they collect burrs like no other. Ultimately they're a polyester pant, so won't be a durable as a nylon pant. In my view the king of hiking/hunting pants is the Prana Zion. As long as Prana keeps making them, I'll probably never buy another pair of attacks (plus they're cheaper!). I'm pretty tough on pants and the Zions look nearly new after 6 years of being my go to, while my attacks aren't worn nearly as often and look more worn. Depends on what matters most to you.

Kutana are tougher and cooler but stretch less, great for early season if you run warm. Attacks are too warm for me above 75*. I wear attacks mid to late season with layers. Attack have the most stretch and are by far the most comfortable pants, more quiet too. I have destroyed both pants and only get maybe 3 seasons out of them. Only once did I warranty the kutana when a branch ripped the stitching out of a hip vent. The rest are all ankle tears and I have a collection of poorly stitched pants I still wear.

Great pants . Worth the money. So nice not to be fighting your pants when walking uphill. Even with a heavy pack making your drawers sag a little, there is no fighting the stretchy material. Pretty dang durable. Leg vents are nice. If it’s super cold I just wear some long underwear underneath them.

I’ve had a pair of attacks (and guides for cold weather) for the last 3 years or so that have been absolutely great. Hands down the best I’ve used.

I have 4 pairs of them. One pair is over ten years old, has been through the wringer, and still looks pretty good. They are comfortable, durable, and are my go to fall through spring. Open the side vents early season and they stay pretty comfortable when it’s hot, throw on a pair of long handles when it’s cold and you’ll be good. A pair of down over pants for late season glassing and your set.

I have about 3 or 4 pairs and love them. My wife has a couple pairs also and she also loves them. The only gripe I have is the mesh inner pockets catch hangnails easily. KUIU merino zip-off longjohns under in cooler weather are a great combo. KUIU sizing is the only drawback, definitely built for tall skinny guys.

@mtmuley

Check out Argali. Brad’s a local guy in Idaho doing good things for hunting. My son bought a pair of Argali pants last month.

I've been on the early access for these but I've been waiting to buy any clothes because I've been loosing so much weight. Are they tighter on the calf? I wear Sitka mountain pants right now and they drive me nuts with how much material there is around the Calf and ankles. I've been between the attack and the argali pants.

Great pants @mtmuley IMHO...have got a couple of pairs. But for just general "out in the woods" or hiking of late I've been wearing the T1 & T2 pants from TRUEWERK. They're $89/$99 and you can get 15% off your first order. My son in law is a horse wrangler and turned me on to them, all day in the saddle without the "pinch" we all hate!

My son reports comfortably snug.
