Relaxing in the backyard with a bier I got home from the trip abroad…ah, Sunday …back to work Monday

I was never a big fan of Scotch - partly because my guys there thought it was funny to always order me the nastiest peaty shit they could find. Might as well just go outside and put a handful of dirt in my mouth!

But last year when I was there, I got to chatting with a very kind and knowledgeable lady at the bar. When it became evident that she knew her shit about whiskey, I asked her to recommend something that a bourbon drinker would like. She immediately said I should focus on Speyside region and whiskeys. So I got a flight of a few from there - this was by far my favorite. But the whole time I just kept wondering if she was somehow in on the joke with my employees, and I’d end up with a flight of 3 even worse snifters of dirt!
