I have broken down and tried there boots twice and just can’t get them to work for me. sucks because they are a high quality boot!

Specifically what did not work about the boot for you? I’m in the market and have considered mountain extremes as a possible boot.

My extremes are still functionally as new after a decade plus, albeit aesthetically relic’d.

…they’re broke in.

I got hot spots, something I never get with any other brand of boot. Tried different sizes and sock configurations and nothing changed it… always on my heel and the top of my foot.
Crispi, Zamb, lowa, Hans are all in my closet and non issue..go figure.

I may give them another shot at some point who knows

They tear up my heels as well. Guessing you have a skinny heel as well?
