Literally have this guy on the in the background while I'm working right now!Cool!! I've been watching this channel a bit, sure wish we had catfishing like this in Co
So I just started down this particular rabbit hole. Just got a new kayak that I'm gonna completely deck out motor, fish finder, battery box the whole shebang. I'm still on the fence on if I should get a spot lock with controller. "Buy once cry once" rings in my head but I might try a till one first. Already have one in the shop and the kayak came with a motor mount set up for left hand till. Still gonna run a anchor wizard just in case.Or......get spot lock! Im going back and forth over getting a yak version.

I’m trying to stay more minimalist without the tech. At least that’s the plan for now.So I just started down this particular rabbit hole. Water anchor is a low tech optionI’m trying to stay more minimalist without the tech. At least that’s the plan for now.
From my few outings I’m definitely looking at a little anchor and a gear bag just for the kayak to grab and go (gloves, pliers, knife, etc.)
That is basically to keep you from floating too fast in the wind or? Ever had issues with larger fish, running your line, i.e. pike or ocean snapper / halibut and having to turn or pulled? Easy enough to pull in with fish on or how does that work? I've seen it advertised though always concerned when dealing with fish capable of turning and running line opposite direction.Water anchor is a low tech option
