I caught this story and thought it was interesting.

About ten years ago my dad and I sighted what both of still believe was a wolf in this same general area. I have been amazed over the years we have had bear, moose, lots of elk, and of course mountain lions work there way through the state. A young collared male cat had traveled some 700 miles before being hit by a car in Kansas.

We now have a pack north of town haging on the SD/NE border as well. Sounds like the plains are becoming wolf country and they are coming from both directions.

The local guy here in Hot Springs has seen a wolf on 2 occasions about 10 miles south of here.

Not unusual. Go to any pub in eastern MT and 80% of the patrons have seen a wolf in their area. Outside the pub arena, odds are much lower.

I don't know why, but your comment reminded me of this. I guess you have to believe everything you hear/see in a pub. ;) Seriously, would you believe a drunk if he told you a bobcat entered a bar...

All joking aside...do you frequent those pubs to quench a thirst or to hear the latest tales??
