Yes!
That photo was posted by Devyn Messenger, who along with her kids and a fair number of other folks who recreate on the post hold a "scavenger hunt" for sheds for military kids every year. I understand that the Messengers have moved on to another military assignment away from Fort Riley. I hope the shed hunt tradition continues.

The training schedule has been very favorable to the hunters this September. Many zones that have better elk numbers have been open compared to the last two years.

I feel sorry for those folks with special elk tags to hunt Ft Riley (October antlerless and "any elk" tags due to the knuckleheads in Washington DC

Kansasdad, I got the expected but still unfortunate email that once again I didn’t draw a Kansas elk tag. Still have Colorado this year at least! Know anyone that was blessed enough to get a tag?
