Jr's turkey

My boy passed his hunter's ed in Feb, and already bagged his first turkey. It's just a jake with a 3" beard, but quite a trophy to the two of us. Not bad for 10 years old.

Now we're just waiting for the drawing. Jr. is eligible for everything. I put him in for Mule deer, elk (youth hunt,bull), bighorn (youth hunt, 3/4 curl ram), ibex (youth hunt, nanny or immature), antelope (buck), and javalina. NM has some great opportunities for youth hunters. I wish they had those when I was a kid. Hopefully between the two of us we can draw something.
