I watched only 4 minutes but my best guess is the dollar's worth is based on peoples trust, perceptions, and/or expectations. If someone asked me how much a dollar is worth I'd have to answer how ever much you think it is.

The printing press running lik crazy for the last however many years is catching up with us. We are going to be headed towards the early 80s with inflated interest rates fo everything to pull in the money we have been printing like crazy.
