Interesting......

Whats MORE interesting is the numbers to race sell for $40 on a first come first get basis but are transferable and offers of $100 are already out there to buy them from people......

Nothing like double or trippling an investment if you didn't want to run.

Dude you must be crazy. I hear it's the toughest half marathon in the northwest. Good luck dude. I would do it if it was in the mountains and had beer available through out the race. Other then that no way.

The good news: there is Beer at this race :hump:

The bad news: all the tickets are sold except the 2nd one I bought for a buddy :p

sell it for the price of your Oregon Tag...they are already for sale on craigslist.

Wait a second isn't it in the mountains too?

OK OK Oscar talked me into doing this freakin' thing. I've never ran more than a few miles before and I've definitely never done a race except in kindergarten. Any buddy know how to train for this thing? I'm thinking of starting out slow and then picking it up. Maybe a 3 mile run the first week then pick it up a mile a week. 8 weeks away so that should be me somewhere in the ball park of finishing.

Foul. thats funny..... If i was single, I might of thought about selling my ticket ;)

I think Bugler has been running.... And is gunna Whoop me !!! I started last week but I'm giving the next 59 days hell in training. MY goal is to come in ahead of our 3% body fat IDBugler....

I'd liek to see who thinks I will win, and who thinks Bugler will win /!?!?!

Let the training begin :p

My moneys on Moosie. He's already been training for 3 weeks now. Me running?!?!? I already said that I wasn't going to train. I have been hiking but not running and 3% body fat ya right. I'll check on Saturday and let you know.

With you flappin' your gums I might need to put a little more effort into this thing though. ;) Like running once a week. Also this is a win win situation for me. I'll get you in shape so when we go hunting you will be able to pack out my portion of the animal. :D

Pointer are you freakin kidding me. Do people really run between 15 and 26 miles a week. I call BS. Let's just say I'll be happy to run 2 miles a week. I'm planning on hiking this thing anyways. I just read that it's a 2000' elevation change from the start to the top and then another 1600' decent the last 3.5 miles. :W:

If you're hiking it, no worries. You'll make it. I'm guessing your bench press seems far fetched to most of the folks that run those distances per week... ;)

I started last week. A 18 week training program for the Iron man. Of course... day 3, I slept in and skipped.... day 5 I didn't go. Day 7 was my rest day :) But still, I'm hitting it harder then I have in the past. This year I'll be in Sheep shape. With no sheep tag ;)

Even skipping last week I ran 9 miles. Now grant it, what I call "RUNNING" is most people walking, but it's a start. I don't think I even walked 9 mile s last year ;) I "run" about a 10 min. mile

I was one of the "lucky" (or unlucky?) robie # winners too. I'm on week 9 of my training program. I'm using the Jeff Galloway Marathon training program for beginners since I haven't ran for more than 100 yards since High School. Good luck to you guys, how bout the loser buys Milkshakes! Are you setting a time goal or like me just want to finish. I'm hoping to be under 3 hours and closer 2 1/2. We'll see.

2h45 mins is my goal I would like to hit the 2h12min mark becasue that's a 10 min mile..... but doubt it will happen since I'm only on week 2 :D

My true ONLY goal right now is to beat IDBUGLER !!!

As long as you can walk you will beat me. You guys have a freakin' training schedule?

I don't know why, but this seems more your style, Moosie. ;)

You are 9 miles ahead of me and will be 9 miles ahead of me by race time even if you never ran another mile. I'll just lift weights and hope that helps.
