I've developed an interest to educate myself on the Vietnam war over the last several years and man were those guys put thru a lot. There's a lot of great books out there, even a great fictional one I read that depicts a company's tour in Vietnam.
My dad is a Vietnam vet, 82nd airborne. He keeps everything about it to himself and will take it to the grave; I wish he wouldn't. I tried asking once about it, once in 30 yrs(last fall in MT actually) and all he had to say was "That was a long time ago".
