If you could get any Savage rifle

since you seem to have about everything already. I'd check out the Savage 11 Scout Rifle. kinda of a cool gun to add to your collection. I'd also have to get it in .308.

Never Mind, you already made a good choice, didn't see that

The 10/110 is a pretty bad a$$ gun. I have the short action hipster version. Fairly heavy target gun but can be used for hunting, shoots lights out. Action is blueprinted in the factory just like a custom gun....

I finally fondled that 10/110 Stealth rifles...it didn't do it for me. I think the forearm needed to be about 4" longer but I was just messing with it in Scheels. I picked up the 12LRP at the same Scheels and that one felt better to me even though it was 3lbs heavier.

good choice on the 338 lapua. i have a 111LRH in it. Great, extremely accurate rifle. holds well under half MOA as far as i want to shoot it. It is an absolute hammer on elk. Ammo is spendy. i reload, and my first firing costs around $5 a shot with the price obviously going down with each reload as you're use the brass. You will probably find the magazine might be a little short for 300gn bullets, as they need to be loaded pretty close to the lands. i settled on 285gn A-Max bullets in front of H-1000

I've been pouring through the catalog and fondling rifles at various shops for two weeks...
Can anyone (a couple have mentioned owning) tell me about their experiences with the 16/116 or 11/111 LWH?

My brother has a 16/116 LWH in a 6.5 Creedmoor. shoots extremely accurate, light and easy to carry, but I thought it handled and balanced well.
I think I am going to be buying one in the next few weeks. hope that helps
