If Oak were to hunt bears in WV, the story may go something like this.

I took the dogs for a walk in some beautiful country

and the dogs tree'd a bear, so I shot it

That's the Greenbrier River below Seneca state forest.

The easiest way to the tree was 1 mile of steep nasty country but the chase was probably 5 miles.

I C I've never hunted bear that far up . But coon hunted up on a few farms between 28 and the river. I always hunted with Ernie Cobb. He owns Liars Corner sport shop coming into Marlington. Most of our bear hunting that was has been south of Marlington and the park. Or over in Lobelia and into Briery, south fork. etc Some Big country. Glad you got one of the poky bears.
