Its been 7 years since my dog Echo and I have been bird hunting. Getting a puppy next week with strong hunting lines has motivated me to pick up the shot gun and get back in it.

We went for a couple of days, downstream from North Fork. According to a local it has been a poor year for chukar for some reason around there. Echo and I did manage to get our first chukar! I did some missing as well. It was a great trip. We saw quite a few bighorns, including 2 younger rams butting heads. I took some photos and will post them when I finish up that roll of film. I also saw a nice mulie buck that made it thru one more season! There was also 3 large herds of cow and calf elk, feeding across the canyon.

I will definately be going back there next year.

Probably had to do with the spring weather. Also lots of Yote tracks. Ithaca will probably tell you Bush had something to do with it. Or D, all of the above.
