Yesterday I had an early meeting at work and as I was leaving my wife, Julie, says, "remember you have to pick up Kaleb". Of course I remember I have to pick him up. Now Kaleb is almost 8 years old and in 2nd grade. How could I forget to pick up My little hunting buddy?

anyway you get the picture. No way would I forget to pick up my one and only son and get him to school. Geez why does Julie always have to remind me of the obvious |oo

At 10:30 am the school calls and asks me if I have Kaleb with me? Yep I got wrapped up in my meeting and forgot to go back home. To make matters worse they tell me they already called Julie!!! Panic sets in and I race home, to find; no Kaleb. I trace the route he would have walked to school sure I am going to find him stuck in a snow bank or worse. I don't find him and return to my house. I go in and I am dialing Julie's work to tell her I can't find him. Stomach tied in knots.

Then the basement door opens and there is Kaleb still in his PJ's. I ask where he had been and he said, "well I was downstairs watching TV waiting for you  to pick me up for school". He said nobody told him it was 10:30. So I finally got him delivered to school. Boy did I get in trouble.

My daughter when she was a baby liked to be rocked. I used to rock her car seat with my foot all the time. Once I managed to leave her under a table in a restaurant. :D

Don't beat yourself up. We all do it at least once. Just don't make a habit of it. :D

We had a lady let her infant on the bus. She carried her packages off, and forgot the kid. The driver finished his route, and did a walk back, and there was a car seat on the floor with an infant in it.

DUDE.. As funny as it kind of sounds, Last summer a Lady had a Kid and was a Big Uppity Up in the biz world around here and when she went back to work her Kid was Asleep in the car and She got out and Went to work forgetting her kid was in the car. She never dropped the kid off at daycare that morning and was so Busy durring the day that she never thought about it......

... her kid Died in the car that day.

Not to shed Tears on your story but I can see how it happens and know it could happen to me. I could never convict a person of man slaughter for an Accident although people forget that people are human too.

Glad to hear all was OK man !!!!! All I have to say Is I'm glad I'm married to my wife, she remembers EVERYTHING which sometimes is bad for me but usually ok ;)

That is where that old saying comes in, "The day a man gets married he gets to forget all that he has done wrong......no sense two people remembering all that".

At least his life wasn't ever in jeopardy, most danger he was is was being exposed to day time TV.

That reminds me of the scene in Raising Arizona when they forget the baby on top of the car.

NEVER LEAVE A MAN BEHIND...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

LMAO

I love Raising Arizona!!!!

Seriously I can see where that might happen but we all have to be careful. I just can't imagine how the parent feels, That lady has to live with her childs death for the rest of her life, that is punishment enough!! I am with The Moose!

I'd have to move the desk, rearrange a closet, & put in another bunk.
I get up around 3-4AM (no sense in burning daylight), but I guess we could make it work. Or should that be twin bunks? Ya bringin' the tad-pole too? :D

Oh man at least he was in the nice and warm house and not stuck outside in a snow bank freezing to deat. So how much trouble with your wife when she found out that he was in the house all right and safe. Glad to hear that all was all right and safe with your son.
Quick Draw

As for those wondering how much trouble I was in let me just say this: My wife is absolutely one of the nicest people your ever want to meet, kind hearted, generous, very giving but when it comes to our kids; well she is a little bit of a she bear. Well she was relieved that he was okay but I did get to have a little "discussion" with her regarding our son and the importance of him being looked after properly. All well deserved.

Gunner46 Can we just come and visit for the next week or so. By next Thursday it is supposed to warm up to at least 20 degrees above.
