I was there last year, in Fla. Y'all rember my posts as the 'Canes came through?
This is sooooo much worse y'all can't imagine!! We had "little" 1's & 2's come through. This was almost a 5 right ? That's like a .22 against a feakin' 460 Weatherby!!!
I remember when 'Floyd' came through (7 yrs ago?). A small town, Princeton, of 10,000 was completely gone: 2/3's of the SE coast of NC was flooded. They reported around 50 dead.
( yeah, right)
Imagine the entire state of Ohio flooded, to some degree.
New Orleans is GONE, BYE BYE, GONE !!!
Mobile is hump 'ed.
They can't even spare manpower to LOOK for the dead!
It's simple from here on out. They need help, and FAST. ALL Y"ALL CAN HELP!!!!!!!! And directly.
If anyone knows a truck driver, heading back empty, fill him up. Otherwise, please do what you can.
Red cross, send money.
Here is a short list of things those people need & right now.
Clothes
Pampers, and any baby stuff
Water

Anything for the kids; toys, colorbooks, dolls, balls, books: They lost it all too.
Canned goods.
Bug Spray!!
Iodine, Asprin, rubbing alcohol
FANS!!!!!!!! (when they get power back back)
