Alright my fellow goose, duck hunters its time to brag about that decoy spread. How many you got. Who's got them mojos or big foots:) I'm more of the over water fowl hunter but I do both. I got 7 dozen duck decoys and dozen floater goose.

I don't know how many I've got...maybe 5-6 dozen duck floaters? But most of them are old and need to be replaced. I'm really wanting to get 12-18 either GHG Pro-grade mallards or Avian X and have them fully flocked. I'm looking into the "less is more" approach for the future.

And I need to start building a field spread pretty bad. Only takes money, right?

1 dozen floater mallards, 1/2 dozen assorted (teal, gadwall, widgeon), 1 dozen field mallards (still never used), and 1 roboduck. On any given day I'll use less than 5 decoys in total...less is more on small water.

I have 4 doz snow shells,4 doz speck shells, 3 doz hooker full body and shells, 4 doz snow silo socks, probably 6 doz duck decoys. ALL. Waiting for water. I have a few mojo's and the silo sock flyers, some goose floaters . While hunting a refuges I'll probably have about a dozen assorted duck decoys , a couple of speck decoys maybe 4, and a mojo when legal. Most important my lab Carrie!

As of last count, over 20 dozen ducks, and over 20 dozen geese. I am a decoy hoarder. I don't even know exactly how many I have anymore.

Got around 100dozen snow goose decoys and a trailer full of other stuff I hardly use anymore. I should just sell everything. It seems like 6-8 mojos and a dozen honkers kill them just as good as anything.

We started out with a hundred dekes. Then over the years adopted the less is more philosophy. We used 4 dozen full bodies and a couple of dozen shells to simulate resters, and killed a lot of geese. Scouting is the biggest part of killing geese. I knew all of the farmers in the area we hunted on the Yellowstone river around Hysham, MT and I would drive a route and see where the geese were sitting, and that's where we would set up. Exactly where they were sitting. I think we could have killed just as many with 1 dozen. We only hunted a field one day. Drove and found another field with geese for the next day. We could kill limits every day that way.

Been hunting ducks for over 15 years and I can't remember a time I ever brought any decoys along. Of course we jump shoot them on a river so decoys would kind of cramp our style.:)

I only own 2.5 dozen floater ducks and a mojo. I rarely use more than that. Most of the time I only use 6 or 10 floaters, if you are truly on the X the more decoys and fake presentation you have thrown out there the better chance you have of being picked off. Just like deer and elk, I typically don't think it's worth waking up unless I have a spot scouted and dialed.

Its those darn garage sales. got a pumpkin seed dozen floater goose, 5 dozen duck and a 5 hp motor for 200. I thought that was a pretty good deal. Been dry here since I bought it. Its looking good this year.

I think I would rather have less full body geese then more shells or silos. The full bodies really stand out and for the early season here in va most groups aren't more then a doz now. I am planning on setting out 15 full bodies in groups of 3 to 4 in the morning for the early season opener!

Anymore I use 10-18 G&H mallard magnums. I have a wind driven Win-dux IIRC since I am anti battery-powered decoys. If I had to hunt birds that had more pressure, I might have to do it differently, but finding where the birds want to be has worked best for me.

On water 2 doz mallards. In a field 40-50 goose decoys, shells and full bodies mixed
