Now that most of the seasons are over what is everyone doing this winter to pass the time until the next hunting season.
Me I just stumbled into 50 acres of whitetail paradise in an urban setting and am busy clearing brush to make a 5 acre food plot for the deer next fall. Also spending lots of time on the hunting forums shooting the breeze and also reasearching for next springs turkey hunt I want to go to oklahoma and chase rios if anybody knows a good spot. And planning next falls trips.
Well thats me how bout the rest of you.

Ice fishing for walleyes, perch, and what ever comes along. My best this winter is 8 lbs.

Getting in better shape for shed hunting and the upcoming busy season at work. Ran three miles this afternoon and may not be able to walk tomorrow. :)

Exercising to loose a few pounds and planning the pronghorn hunt.

hunting seasons ended.....? LOL

Small game here goes through February.. geese through april with the snow goose conservation season..coyotes year round...turkey starts again in April...shoot and reload...shoot the bow....

When does hunting and preparation ever stop...? LOL

Reloading and shooting a bunch. Got a new toy for christmas and have been playing with it some. A S&W airlite in 44mag. Its fun for about 3 cylinders then it gets a bit painful. I think I could hit a bear at 15 yards with it... might not kill it but I'll hit it.

Been ice fishing a few times, looked for moose sheds a couple times. Probalby go look for some bunnies and birds to blast in the next couple weeks, and maybe do a little skiing. Plenty to do around here it seems.

I am getting in shape, scouting for turkey and researching hunting areas for next season, and last keeping my shooting skills up with a large population of coyotes to pick from!!!

How am I passing the time? Watching my best hunting partner's daughter arrow her very first big game animal with a bow. She was pumped! It's refreshing seeing young gals getting into our sport with the dedication and excitement we all have.

Kudos to Erin and her first deer......a Coues Whitetail to boot!

I dunno..waterfowl is still open, then cats are still legal somewhere, then coyotes, and um..steelhead, then turkeys and bears, and then..oh..and skiing with the kid, hunting season never closes.

Keep at it Blue Yummies. It'll happen.

I'm trying to simplify my life. While snowed in over Christmas, I started taking inventory of all my hunting crap. Good grief!

I've decided to go with 30 cal big game rifles only. One 300 mag new today, and 2 30-06 that I'll never get rid of.

I'm going to be selling a bunch of stuff soon.

I am about ready to shoot myself

Keep at it Blue Yummies. It'll happen.

Fingers crossed!!!!

There is no off season. Heck I just helped pack out a moose a buddy shot with his bow on saturday. And then theres shed hunting. Scouting for new areas. Researching hunts. Small game hunting. Predators. It never ends......

Heres a lucky find from over the weekend. Another couple inches of snow and I would of walked right past it.
