Have good numbers of geese in the bitteroot right now. The birds are starting to get edgy. I thought this hunt was going to be a slam dunk from all the birds in the area Friday night. Called five guys, thought we could make a big pile. But only three of us made it. Showed up to the field at 6:15 am to find most of the snow melted the night before. This was going to make tough conditions due to no snow to help hide our blinds. Had to move the blinds to the hedge row in order to keep the birds from flaring. As soon as we moved birds started to finish nicely. In no time we had our 12 birds and packed up by 11:00. While we were picking up, birds were still flying in all directions. All in all had a great morning.
