His tail is up and he looks like he is having a great time exploring on his nature hike. He will be ready for a few grouse and chukar before you know it.

My Draht "Gus".

Looks like your boy's twin. Gus is now 85lbs. The love of his Mommy's life. Lives in her lap at home. Covers ground hunting chukar effortlessly. Retrieves everything with ease. Can't stand too much heat or sun with that black coat though. Ohh yeah, and his beard won't stop dripping for 10 minutes after taking a drink, ideally in the toilet. We love him to death.

No worries about living in a kennel. Great looking dog, man he’s big!

I hear you about the beard holding and dispersing water after they drink. Thank goodness for vinyl flooring!

Hanks beard is like a sponge!! Unforeseen complication for a first time "ugly" dog owner. He's also tiny (55#) compared to Gus.

Training weekend for Finn.

Sacked out using my daughter for a pillow.

Meeting other dogs. The Drahthaar on his right is his sister Bella.

Other than grab ass, he got to find a dead pigeon, find a planted bird, and continued work on obedience. He is now retrieving the Dokken grouse, although not without a check cord.

He weighed 29 pounds at 16 weeks. Rattlesnake vaccine this week.

Great looking dog! You're much smarter than me on your choice of check cork. I went with a rope one. 'Twill burn the snot out of my hands even with gloves on at times.

Puppyhood is quickly transitioning to adolescence. Gunfire conditioning is nearly done. Water retrieves are pretty solid. E-collar introduction is done. We have a date in the grouse woods September 1st.
