No. On most nights he needs out around 1 and 4 AM. Yesterday he ate something that made him have to shit on the hour from 1-4.

He is much better about settling into his crate.

On a side note, he is a very fast learner. I don’t think I’ve ever had a pup this in tune with people.

Then I read this...

Yesterday he ate something that made him have to shit on the hour from 1-4.

This past week, one of the boys forgot to lock the kennel door when then went to school. Hank was roaming the house for 8+hrs unsupervised. Luckily, nothing was tore up. But, judging from the amount of pee and it's widespread dispersal he was definitely anxious about the situation....

Clearly this is not yet a symbiotic relationship. I drop a grand in fencing materials, and all he does is eat everything in front of him.

We went with the invisible fence. Works 100% most of the time... Have had a few bunnies entice him across the line.

Clearly this is not yet a symbiotic relationship. I drop a grand in fencing materials, and all he does is eat everything in front of him.

Just keep a tab and I am sure he will pay for his bill in chukar dinners within the next couple of hunting seasons.

I'll be interested in seeing that grass after the fence is up and he's the run of the yard for a bit. I have defined "trails" in my yard from Hank running his rounds keeping an eye on the neighbors and the local rabbits. Not too mention the sporadic deadspots from dog pee!
