I'm writing a novel and my bad guy is on the run in San Diego and I haven't lived there since the early 50's so I don't know where he should go for a "no-tell motel." If you live there or are familiar enough with the city send me a PM. I tried "google maps street view", but I don't have time to tour the whole city that way. My writing is on hold till I know where my guy needs to go.

Many of the motels on the border...just call one of them up and ask if they have rates by the hour. or if you want to be more discreet just ask them if they accept credit cards. The sleezy no name ones won't. That ought to be just what your character is looking for.

Anywhere from the Gaslamp District SE to National City along the waterfront. There are some pretty seedy places in Logan Heights.
