Charge dismissed against Doyle Beck for use of helicopter in hunting

A misdemeanor charge against former Bonneville County GOP Chairman Doyle Beck was dismissed last week by a motion from the prosecutor.

I think the whole thing is a silly situation. But I do think his quote is hilarious where he says "the only thing I'm guilty of is helping a friend in need" lol. Well no Doyle that's not true, but whatever makes ya sleep better at night.

Seems like a silly charge, but I'm sure there is some illegal act they can pin on it. Isn't that every attempt to recover down game? What if you have a disabled hunter permit that allows you to drive into those areas? Could he just fly to a meadow and land for a nice lunch, then take off again? I don't think everyone is going to run out and buy a helicopter to get their game out.

I don't know about helping a friend in need part. Nice try! But sounds like if this is an act of "aiding" in hunting, then so is someone helping you pack something out on their back, horses, or 4 wheeler. I do got the whole all motorized vehicles are forbidden in the area part though.

I have often joked about doing that very thing. Fortunately I never tried and I am way to poor to afford such a thing.
