Hammer bullets?

20-22 ounces. Are you sure? Where are you getting your numbers? Fill me in please. I need to know. mtmuley
Jesus man, this is how you got 17k posts? That was a guess, but here you go: 50-153gr, bullets is 17.4857143Oz. with 30% waste (which would be a hell of a lot) that works out to 24.9795919oz of raw copper used on my order.

Someone else said copper went up 50%, it is actually only up 10.9% in the last year. I don't doubt this particular foreign supplier is more, but there are thousands of domestic suppliers. He could put all of the specs in a LLM (AI) and it would give him a list in seconds.

So don’t buy them.

That was easy.

Give Steve a call and save the tariffs with a domestic supplier. He would want to know you have that info. mtmuley

Copper alloy of specific requirements that is basis for bullet success is NOT available in the US period. No company would pay more for raw material overseas with added risk of availability and delivery potentially affecting their product. This has NOTHING to do with cost in US. This alloy is what makes the Hammer shine. The alloy is unique and even with limited supplier there are rejections of raw material that doesn't meet specifications REQUIRED to manufacture their bullets.

Everyone THINKS they KNOW everything there is too know about copper. Yeah, change the alloy is so simple and anyone can do it.

That is pure nonsense. An alloy is a chemical composition that can be replicated. There is no alloy that cannot be made to a higher degree of quality right here, not one. I suspect he buys overage from another product and cannot buy enough for a custom mix at a foundry.

No, and your speculation to Hammers copper alloy composition/acquisition is pure nonsense.

As I said. Call Hammer. They make bullets. You don't. Or else shut the Hell up. mtmuley

Hammer bullets have a cult like following. I'm sure they work great for most people and are a quality product.

I seen delayed expansion with the older hp design. The hht fixes that issue
After shooting a deer with a 95 HHT out of a 257 Weatherby mag, we wondered if the tipped version was better for more traditional velocities?

I do make and test bullets Scooter. Anyone with an IQ north of 60 can see I'm responding with specific information, it is you who drags this out with nothing to offer. As with every conversation you enter (which is all of them) you are all noise, and zero value. Fear not, hunting season will begin for me soon and you will be free to drive up the storage cost for this site and I will be absent.

There isn't any actionable information here, but I believe he is trying to do the right thing for everyone.

Can't wait until you are absent. mtmuley

Pure nonsense is 100% right.
