Grizzly Bear Attack in Canada

I heard this the other day on the news ... grizzly attacks school children on a "field trip" and injures eleven. This is pretty much unheard of, most of the time it's one or maybe two people.

That has to help the argument for opening a griz season.

Yikes. I wonder what the extent of the injuries were.

One has died. This type of attack...on a herd is not unusual in the wild. When I was a kid on the western slope of Colorado black bears would get into a herd of sheep and just go nuts killing and wounding several. seemingly not to eat but to kill. They had bear spray and bear BANG but must not have been very effective in this case. I have Hunted out of Bella Coola..beautiful place with a lot of bears both black and grizzly.

this is wild. sad someone has died. hopefully it wasn't one of the childs.
