Greatfalls opportunity for deer ?

Does anyone have any info for deer and pheasant hunting near Great Falls MT ? I see patches of state land and block management. Are these over crowded with hunters ? I know sometimes these sparse areas can look like a pumpkin patch . Thanks again in advance!

You can find hunting in any direction from great falls. BMA, BLM and state lands abound. If you want to avoid the orange army, go on a weekday. Best of luck

Yes - this ^^^^^ , weekdays and later in the year like after nov 10

plan on lots of glassing, and you will find deer. phesant is hit or miss on the public ground, but there are some to be found. doesnt hurt to knock on a few doors and see about bird hunting either.
