First off, I will welcome myself to hunt talk, I know that will be a comment or two. Second, I am willing to help anyone with anything in Montana, well except elk because I am really not good at elk hunting (I accept that and have moved on).
My two friends and I have drawn a Region A deer tag in Wyoming. I am not looking for a huge bucks, we just wanted something different to do this season. We are planning on Hunting out of a little hotel in Aladdin. My plan is to hunt the borders of private, in the National forest and state lands, like I do and have done for years in Montana. I have read just about everything I can find on the Region and have come up with: A) does not have many 150+ bucks that is totally fine with me. B) can be thick with timber. C) People can be thick as well. I am sure we will be from the North of the unit to the South.
What I am looking for is anything that might make the Trip better. Cool places to see/eat?
is it worth making a summer trip to talk to land owners? Some areas in Montana are super cool, others not so much?
Any Tips on this area?
Are the Deer numbers coming back after EHD?
I am there for something different and possibly having an opportunity to kill more than one buck in a season and lets be real another front shoulder on the Pit Boss shredded into taco meat with banana peppers doesn't hurt my feelings.
Any info would be awesome
