Great week!

Congrats on a real whopper. Glad to see you having such good results this season.

Thanks for the comments everybody!

kansasdad...Yes this was from the same woods as last year. The first shot I took at the buck was from the same stand as the 11 pointer my dad shot. The smaller one from last year was also in the same woods a bit closer to where we actually took this guy. The ditch that one ended up in connects to the ditch this one ended up in a ways down the hill.

havgunwilltravel...4.5 years would've been my initial guess, but after getting him I am not sure. The taxidermist thought possibly only 3.5 because he had a short nose like a younger deer. His mass would also suggest 3.5 because most of our bucks that we either know or suspect are 4.5 are more massive than this. We also do not have any pictures of this buck from previous years, so we don't have anything to go off of that way. A few years ago, my uncle got a 4.5 year old that was 28.25" inside, so maybe this guy got some of his genes from him.

Sounds like a great time and that is an awesome buck... the body on him is huge!

Thanks for the info, always interesting to look at ages and where the different bucks or bulls are at with antler development in the different areas/states.

Appreciate the reply.
