Great job. The model 12 was my dads favorite shotgun. He used it for everything from upland game to shooting slugs. Shot my first deer with one.

Great job!!!! Got two, one 1937 and one from 1947. Never let me down in the 50 years I've owned one. I agree that they are the best shotgun ever made.

Found an old Sears catalog from 1929 in the walls of a house I had and they were advertised for $29.95, (Pre NFA)

How much grass and gunk did you pull out of that receiver? The innards look like they've seen the bottom of a duck blind or three.
Surprisingly it was just loaded with old oil and dirt. It took 3 cycles in the ultrasonic cleaner and scraping to get everything clean!
Thing had a hard life. Gramps was hard on dogs and guns, just tools. She looks respectable now, Looking forward to seeing my son use it.
Thanks Paul.
Thank you, I'm looking forward to hearing a field report!
