I got a couple of heads back from the taxidermist today.
The whitetail was from fall of 2013. I took him with my muzzleloader still hunting / spot and stalk hunting in north central MN.
The elk is a dead head I found in WY this year. I spotted it while bow hunting muleys. I was glassine down into a basin and spotted the rack laid over in a clump of pine down towards the bottom of the basin. They were probably under 1k ft below me, so I decided to drop in and check them out. Most of the carcass was there, looked like it might have been poached. I called up the warden and he issued a possession tag and registered it, so I could bring it home.
