Scheels in salt lake is dumping some Cooper Excalibur rifles in 7 rem Mag and 300 win mag. Some are $1399 and others are $1,499 depending on when they bought them. There’s a handful of each. Just an FYI. With a timney trigger, flutter bolt and barrel.....and this 3 shot group I couldn’t pass.

I have a couple friends that have them in other calibers. Been great rifles

If they are the rifles with a 1/2 moa guarantee I'd jump on it. I think I'd grab one if I was closer, wife wants an Elk rifle.

I took a tour of the Cooper company and was quite impressed. Folks there take it very seriously wanting to turn out the best product that they can. The targets actually are shot at 50 yards in their indoor test area. That is the furthest distance that they have right now. Still that's a good group. What is nice also is they will tell you what their "accuracy loads" are for each different cartridge they build if you contact them and ask. Makes sense so they don't have to try and find something that shoots in each rifle chambering, but they find one that seems consistent across the board. We all know of folks that reload and there seems to be a common load for a particular cartridge and bullet weight that shoots.
