Last but not least.

I used to love when my dad came home with his quarry. I’m patiently waiting for my kids to go hunting more with me. Kids are naturally drawn to hunting, the antlers, the carcass, ect. There is something primeval about it and it comes naturally for kids.....esp sons......to take part in any way they can to their dads hunting expeditions wether it be before, during, or after the hunt. In a few years when I get to watch my son put a mule dee buck or bull elk in the crosshairs of a rifle and he’s the one pulling the trigger, that will be the BEST hunt of all.

I got my elk back from the taxi. There was a mixup with the cape at the tannery so it took way long but the taxi did a great job and I couldn’t be happier. There’s not a good place for an elk Mount in my house so he’s going down the street to the new DNR office. They needed an elk head for their conference room so it’s a win-win.
