Geese

Nice honkers!! What kind of decoys you using?

I use 18 old style HardCore decoy's for the "hole" than I have 3 dozen Real Gees Pro's(I flocked the heads) for the wad out front of the hole, I have 12 sleeper shells showing up today and my buddy just ordered 12 sleeper shells, so it should give us a bit more realism....

Geese are fun, especially if one of the other guys takes them home to eat! We shot six yesterday and fortunately, another guy wanted to make some jerky.

Well, I'm sure Nemont had to start somewhere. Those are some big geese.

True story, Paid lots of dues to the the dumb goose hunter club before I started figuring it out. In addition I rarely run traffic so that part makes you better goose hunter.

We started with a garage sale spread of mix decoys and trying to hide under burlap bags. Now have 16 dozen full body's, 12 dozen flocked head shells, motion decoys on stakes, a 16 ft enclosed trailer, lay out blinds, snow covers, pea field covers, flags, blind bags, new shot guns etc etc.

And then when you go hunting, you just put out 4 dozen and call it good, right? The big blizzard we got earlier this month mostly ended our season here, even along the Missouri River.

Yea I try too add 1 new thing too the arsenal every year, but when you bowhunt, waterfowl hunt, ice fish, bow fish, rod/reel fish, rifle hunt it gets spendy...... I wish we could get more access around here, seems most farmers here have a lot of bad experience's, I grew up just NE of you around Froid and they are a lot more acceptable to give permission, maybe not now there are all the oil well workers but growing up didn't matter if we were down by Sydney or up by Scobey, it usually wasn't like pulling teeth to get permission, SW Idaho is terrible unless you grew up here......

Seems like we haul all that stuff around and use about 2 to 5 dozen on a regular basis. When we hunt with big group we will empty the trailer.

One of the guys we hunt with was one of the Waters boys from Froid. He is president of one of the local banks. We are highly spoiled for access

Permission
