I'm thinking that feeder is HUGE!
The whitetail is 3.5 yo and that aoudad needs
to go on a one way plane ride to Australia...
Got any more tc pics? I like seeing them as
I build my own 'homebrew' tc's.

"homebrew" tc's? I have plenty more pictures I will upload some more soon!

huntcowcage,

Wonderful trail cam pics. I really love how they capture the magnificent Texas landscape, so natural and pure.

I like how you get to see all of natures animals as they forage for sustinence and go about their daily routines.

These pictures open up the secret world of these shy and elusive animals.

Your pictures remind of the very reasons I choose to hunt, I would hope one day to hunt in an area as wild and free.

Haha, so true. I wouldn't of been to shocked to see him photo shop a price tag amount above each animal. In Colorado there are hundreds of feed lots, I think they would let you run the bolt gun for free if you want to shoot animals coming from feeders. :)

To each his own I guess. I don't really care if guys shoot animals in 10,000 acre pens but not sure this is the site where you troll for paying customers for any type of hunt. Not really the target demographic.

Nice pictures.

From their web-site...is the "little athletic ability" stepping over the fence to claim your animal at the feeder?

And, it is spelled "preferred". You're welcome.

"Aoudad

At CCR we tend to either "Spot and Stalk" (Peferred) or set up in a natural blind using our surrounding overlooking various scenic terrain. "Spot and Stalk" takes a little athletic ability, but nothing extreme."

Initial Fee: $1,500 (Deposite is half the "Initial fee") Harvesting Fee: $275 per inch after 25"

Other Exotics:

Axis: $2,000 Sika: $1,750

Predator Hunting:

Ferrell Hog: $1.00 per lb. Red or Grey Fox: $100 Additional People Policy:

If the hunter decides to bring a friend or spouse it is a maxium of 5 others.

I do not know what you think is going on at my ranch, but we do not shoot off of our feeders these are just game camera pictures for y'all to look at so if you have a problem with them do not post on this thread. Getting annoyed with the smart ass comments!

"huntcowcage" Seriously? Grow up! Its not a high fence place smart ass! The pens around our feeders are to keep hogs out, hence the heavy piping around the panel! What else do I need to spoon feed to you??? Sorry you live in Montana!

I don't think you know what you are talking about! We do NOT hunt off of feeders nor is our place high fenced!

Don't worry about these guys HuntCowCreek. Giving crap is what some of us do best on this site :) Very nice pictures. Thanks for sharing!

We are just having a little fun with you. You have to come to a forum where guys complain about how much their gas bill is on their hunt, as that is their major expense, and would rather not hunt than have the "my guide just called, told me to fly out a day early cause he has the buck of a lifetime spotted. He picked me, drove me to the mountainside where he had a guide watching the buck 24 hours a day, I got out and shot it......boy what a hunt" (Read the cover story of Huntin Fool this month). Add to that the Western Hunting mentality that is shared on this website where feeding wildlife in any way is not only highly illegal in our states that we hunt, but where most guys wouldn't feed animals even if it was legal. Then you come on and show game cameras of animals taken around feeders and then get mad at us for taking a few shots at you. Its all in good fun. You are making good with what you have been dealt down there in Texas, just the wrong place to be defensive about that same lifestyle when you share pictures. I do enjoy game camera pics though, so keep posting, just having a little fun with you.

Also, if you do not have high fences, than you are feeding wild game animals in an effort to keep them on your property so you can have paying customers harvest a natural resource that belongs to the state of texas and all its residents. Definitely not the site where you are going to win a lot of fans, so please do not get to defensive if guys jump all over you for it. To each his own. You are playing the hand well with the cards you were dealt, and are playing within the rules established in your State.

Post some more pics Jess....I'm headed out to re-battery my feeders, will check pics upon return. Some of these guys are just having a little fun widja...some are just sanctimonious prix.

Homebrew TC's are the ones we make ourselves out of rewiring cameras, connecting to a SS2 circuit board, getting a pre drilled pelican case and glueing in all the lenses etc and all the bits and pieces and away we go. Sort of like reloading your own ammo, a fair bit of satisfaction in it.

Glad you got thick skin HCC, certainly one thing i have learnt to do is respect everybody and the way they do things in terms of hunting. It is then up to the individual to work out whether they want to be a part of it or not, or whether it suits their hunting style or creates an interest.

I once sat all night long on my own in a freezing blind in Hungary over some corn spread out on the ground in a clearing waiting for wild boar to show up, they never did, but i certainly look back at that night as one heck of an experience.

Peeing in the plastic bottle in the dark was an experience as well so i wouldn't make any noise leaving the stand as the boars over there are certainly switched on.

Agreed. Some need to pull their skirts down as their duplicity and provincialism (yes I like that word) are showing.

Settle down boys I thought we'd been more than polite. When the son of a Texas ranch owner comes on a web site that has a DIY public land slant and starts hawking his corn fed goat hunts what do you expect? Kind of goes against our whole thing, right?

Like what you see give a call anytime at (979)-203-1173, we would be more than happy to get you down here too Cow Creek Ranch!

I doubt you'll get many clients from this web site to come down "too" your place to shoot one of your billy goats for almost $2k, or even your $100 foxes.

Actually I'm kind of surprised that the usual suspects haven't been on this thread calling people pillow biters and such. If you can't handle this much heat get a thicker skin or find another forum to get your free advertising on. :hump:

mtlion, do you tree the lion's (diy) yourself...or let the dogs do it? Just curious, I ain't mad boss..

...signed, inquisitive prik.
