Ugliest combination of uniforms goes tooo…
Thanks for saying that. I was about to post the same thing. I think the Steelers have the ugliest uniforms of any team out there, and I really do not care much about jerseys, one way or the other.

We all know they are just kickers until the game is on the line. But, the Packers find themselves in a conundrum this morning. What do they do at kicker? McManus is back from a quad injury but was clearly not back last night. Lucas havrisik, the substitute teacher turned packers record holder for longest field goal, will get picked up by another team if the packers try to sign him to the practice squad. Having 2 kickers on a team is unheard of.

It’d be nice to get another late round pick for one of them.

I don’t know the ins and outs of it but can we place McManus on the IR, keep Havrisik until we are certain McManus is 110% and then move on from one of them?
I believe a player can't just go on the IR for no reason but in this case, McManus does have an injury in which they could

I know that the Packers could place him on the IR. McManus has been out 3 weeks with a quad injury, he was on the active roster for Sunday while Havrisik was not on the active roster. McManus was clearly not what he was prior to injury, suggesting he needs longer to heal. There are also different versions of the IR, season ending and short term. What I dont know is how that affects contracts with other players, roster spots, what you can do with a player, etc. I do not think you can trade a player if they are on the IR.

Some have suggested the field was to blame for his kicking. With it being new turf they seem to think he wasn't getting his foot set properly. In the pregame radio show John Kuhn was being interviewed while watching McManus kick, he noted he drilled one from 57. In the game he was well short of a kick from 56.

Y'all are delusional (respectfully) if you think you're going to get a 6th or even a 7th round pick for a substitute teacher kicker.
(John) Parker Romo did the same thing except better last year for the Vikes, granted it occurred after the deadline, and he was waived immediately and signed with the Pats after about a week on the market. I'd imagine half the teams in the league have at least one Romo/Havrisik/John Doe kicker on speed dial that could come in and make 80% of their kicks. Maybe not the super long distance ones, but 85% under 50 and maybe 50% beyond.

Now for the non-kicker talk...

Eagles and Chiefs Superbowl rematch seemed like a pipe dream 3 weeks ago. Today it sounds like a fair probability the way those two are playing.

It's too bad there aren't (m)any Patriots fans on here. I'd be calling my shot if I was a fan of them. If not for this year, the next couple years. Drake Maye is fast tracking towards a top 5 QB in the league. Vrabel is making the Titans look like even bigger jack@$$es than they already are for firing him. And, the rest of their schedule this year looks like a cakewalk to 12 wins, conservatively. Oh, and they have about $120M in cap space next year.

That is absolutely spot on. Patriots are legit and so is Maye. They are for sure a team to beat in the AFC. If it wasn't for the Colts stealing the surprise headlines, the Pats would be it.

An interesting day. The Bears kind of ruined an almost perfect day, but heck, they were exciting, even if I could only listen to it in Sirius in the truck off and on.

But I'm watching Darnold now. The guy is on fire.

Even though they are in 3rd in the division The bears are starting to look like the most consistent team in the nfc north.

I guess the Packers run defense was just a hoax.

Why the Packers offense didn’t pound the ball more I don’t know. Both the backs Jacobs had 5 yards per carry and Wilson was 3 yards per carry.
