I agree. Some people lack skills necessary to be the best on paper but they flat out get it done. Tim Tebow seemed to find a way to get it done.

I’ve been staying away from the lines on nfl. In a big rut. I did take the over based off the game two weeks ago and it being so low. Need some points scored.

Those are straight facts. This article says 9-7 (but still above .500, so a winner) as a starting quarterback in the NFL. Zero opinion involved in that.

If the defense was so great that would not have been the case.
The Denver Broncos started winning when Tebow became their starting quarterback. He inspired the team, leading them to an 8-5 record the rest of the 2011 season which included a division championship and a playoff win against the Pittsburgh Steelers where he threw for 316 yards, two touchdowns, 50 yards running and another score against a defense that was really “great.” As the Steelers were the No. 1-ranked defense in the NFL that season. He also had zero turnovers."

A lot of things you could argue about Tebow. Whether he is a winner or loser isn’t one of them. Tough to argue with statistics! When he started, his teams won more than they lost.

College Game Day is coming to Bozeman next week for The Brawl of the Wild. Who you got Cats or Griz?

Next Saturday should be the day of yet another Brawl of the Wild football contest between two outstanding teams. The Univ of Montana Griz did have a couple of fluke setbacks, but now are coming on strong.
The Montana State University BOBCATS are looking as consistently excellent, as they have all season. The depth and variety of talent on the Cats squad is INCREDIBLE!
It seems each game a new star takes charge and makes fantastic plays. Last evening against Cal Poly Mustangs in San Luis Obispo (score 72 - 28), it was greased lightning Marquis Johnson, breaking loose and racing for several touchdowns. Previously it was Willie Patterson, completing incredible receptions and making lots of points. Elijah Elliot merely stars each run and builds yardage consistently.
At quarterback, behind and often on the field with the Butte phenom, Touchdown Tommy Mellott, is Sean Chambers, recruited from the University of Wyoming and a player who could star at any level of college football.
Keeping up with the stellar play of Touchdown Tommy are many Montana "kids" who show up and contribute immensely. Lane Sumner of Huntley is a steady, productive running back. The Dowler twins of Billings are Montana-reliable. Caden has shed his nickname of "Burrito", but his twin "Taco" Dowler has displayed remarkable kick receiving and running talent. Callahan and McCade O'Reilly of Bozeman each contribute in their brotherly ways. Callahan has proven to be the consummately high energy Irish whirling dervish of defense, snagging interceptions and tackling in the backfield with a vengeance. Jory Choate and Jake Vigen, also of Bozeman, are coaches' sons who are not there because of their names, but due to their abilities to compete. Body Grebe of Melstone six-man football beginnings, is another Montana football phenom, but questionable for Saturday due to injuries.
Another outstanding Bobcat football player to watch is Devin Slaughter, a former US Army Ranger who served in Afghanistan. As you may imagine, he is a muscular and fit, burly player, who was recruited locally. Devin, as an MSU student, was working part-time as a bouncer at the infamous, iconic Bozeman watering hole, the ROCKIN' R BAR. Someone who knew he played football previously suggested he show up as a walk-on. He did and now is playing at a high level.
We thank you, Devin, for your service to our nation and to the CATS.
Those are a few names to watch for next week. Whichever team you support, there is reason to be optimistic about their success and to maintain pride in their talents and competitiveness. I predict a very exciting contest which may not be decided until the final moments.
