I do not know what Stephen A is, but he is not a game announcer, so I do not consider him relevant. He is easy to avoid without missing a single play.

Cosell was the perfect foil for Gifford and Meredith, moreso for Meredith as Gifford was the anchor.

He is the son of renowned sportscaster Jack Buck...Joe is worth 35 mil. I truthfully don't get the animus for he and Troy.
It's because they do national games and try to be unbiased and in doing so they analyze and criticize the team you cheer for. Most folks tend to only hear the criticisms of their teams. They're not perfect, but they're prepped and prepared and have great attention to detail. I think a lot of of folks don't like JB because of the perceived nepotism. They don't like TA because he was the Cowboys QB and folks love to hate the Cowboys. I think they do fine. I think most of the networks have their top few teams dialed in. Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreet are easily the worst of the major broadcasts. Al threw in the towel and has been cashing checks for a few years now and Kirk can't let a millisecond of dead air happen without interjecting and overemphasizing a miniscule play. He loves acting like a 2nd and 7 in the 1st quarter is the game on the line play.
There are two things that everyone here can agree on:
1) Jonathon Vilma is the worst color commentator to ever step foot in a booth.
2) Cris Collinsworth sucks and was more than likely preying on underage girls when he was a player.

Im not sure exactly why I don't like him. He just gets under my skin in a way I can't describe. No beef with Troy and I actually like when he calls a game. Maybe its because of my age, but I really loved the 90s Monday night football crew with Al, Dan, and Frank (In that order).
And after Jerry took the oil back it all went to crap. Except for Barry's gift. mtmuley

Troy and Collinsworth are super biased. They clearly have their favorites. Buck’s just a tool.
What are people’s feelings on the Manning Cast? I enjoy it, because it seems to be unbiased and just about ball. I wish there was an option for no commentators.

It’s very non-traditional. Guests and they really break stuff down sometimes. It’s a mix of silly and serious. Very fun.

Good ambassadors IMO...sometimes a little silly but not like Bradshaw silly. And I hope Arch plays lights out for the horns this coming season.
