Fly Tying/Fishing Thread

I imagine it won’t be long before they’re on the gratuitous fish photo album, either! 😀

I wanted to go break in the new rod today, but decided not to fight 50 mph gusts on the river. I’m terrible at tying rubber legs, so I now simplify and go with one pair of legs on each side. Elk don’t know how many feet a horse has.

Yes on the tungsten bead, but it’s a size 6 stimulator hook. I had a bunch and I like the shape for big nymphs.
I often lean more towards a sz8 or sz10, especially in the winter, but will have to give the big dog more of a chance. My rod has been collecting dust since Labor Day due to big game and birds and predators. Itching to get back out.
