The Grande, and or Gold lines from Rio make me feel like I know what I'm doing.


I hadn't looked at line prices for a few years. FFS! It's gotten ridiculous.

Iv had gold before and then tried airflow which was slightly disappointing

I super unsure of non smooth line. I got the scientific angle infinity smooth and am hoping it lasts.
Rio gold was the last long lasting line I had

Pretty big stones if not actually salmon fly. The pattern worked good enough haha! Golden stones?this is from the 24th of April.

Those are skwala stones. Salmon flies show up at the end of June/early July around here and are larger and a little more pronounced black and orange. The same patterns do work, but I pretty much fish a Pat’s rubber leg and chubby Chernobyl in various sizes and colors no matter what type of stonefly you’re dealing with.

Nice! The next time of year I use salmon fly foam patterns was June haha ! Pre and post runoff. Thanks!
