Fishing with kids is always fun. Fish aren't biting so throw rocks.

Sometimes we have to stop fishing to catch butterflies. The sneak. The catch. Trophy pic.

Awesome pic Hem.

As the father of 3 girls nothing better than getting them out there. Only wish I'd taken more pics of trips. Will try to find some of the twins fishing to post up.

If they are having a good time, they will remember it long after we are gone. Good on you!!

Thanks Randy can't wait till they can start hunting. About 5 years for big game here in Idaho. Though if they want and can pass hunter saftey maybe sooner out of state.

Great pics, and even better memories! Kudos to the OYOA dads who are keeping this tradition alive and well!

Awesome pics! Nothing any more fun than taking a kid fishing! I have to admit, I had to leave my rod at home when taking my kids when they were young. No time to fish for myself and it drove me crazy. Leaving my gear at home left me spending time with them and getting them out of the messes that they made. Then when they did want to throw rocks in the water, I didn`t mind. :D

Right now its pretty easy. Have to admit I'm scared for Jr high and High school days though.
My daughter is a junior in HS and she still goes with me every chance she gets. She is usually in school or working, but will ask me all the time, "can we go fishing/hunting this weekend"! That has become one of her favorite pastimes, well alone with hanging out with her friends. Last weekend she talked me into going crappies fishing, and ended up catching 16 keepers in about an hour. That was more fun than going by myself and catching twice that amount!

Amen to that brother....next Fall I will have a 7th grader, HS freshman, HS senior...damn!

Nothing better than being a daddy or a, Pop Pop

...or pap-paw.

Man do those pics bring back some great memories...many thanks.

My boy is now paying them forward with his 5 boys.

...yes...5 of em....he'll be 27 in June.

Wow 5 boys that has to keep him busy. Gonna be a blast when they start hunting if they haven't already.

We caught alot of fish that day but leave most in the water and wasn't fast enough to get pics of most.
