Fishing in Cancun?

So true story. Wife and I are sitting on the swings at that bar drinking away. I told her I was going to be blessed to finally see my first topless beach bunny! Up walks to the bar someone old enough to be my mother, oranges in socks a swinging:( My wife was dying laughing.

Bummer, the chicks I saw were HOT Brazilians!:hump:

I believe Rooster and billfish are mostly on the Cabo side. Baracuda can be a lot of fun to catch if you are into quantity. You can even pick them up on a 8-10 wt fly rod, fair casting or especially trolling a 8" fly if you are sacrilegious. South of there may be better... I've fished Punta Allen before, but we were flats fishing for bonefish.

You didn't ask, but one time we took a bonefishing trip on the N side of Cozumel. And it is a blast. (I think bonefishing might be better in Punta Allen). It is fish hunting. You don't cast until you see them. And no greater despair than slapping the water with your fly line and watching them scatter. My buddy caught some cuda on a fly in the flats. (I just got bit off) I just stuck with bass tackle when targeting cuda. One of the biggest rushes I ever had fishing, was ripping a popper as fast as I could and watching a 4' submarine chasing it down!
