Heading south tomorrow for a week. Anybody have any info/recommendations for fishing the Gulf Shores Alabama area?

Will have our own tackle, but open to a highly recommended charter as well. Have 3 boys ages 6 to 11 so family friendly is a must.

Really, we're up for anything outdoors. Especially if it produces something we can eat 😆.

Thanks!!!

Wish i could help man but don't know anything about the area. If you're wanting a charter I'd call the local marinas and ask for their recommendations. They'll normally have a good feel for what's available.

Sans recommendations, I'll look on fishing booker, then see what their fb looks like.

I don't know how good it is nowadays, but growing up we went to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area to fish Alabama Point and the Perdido Pass bridge. We caught everything from blues to sea trout and sea mullet. Good Luck!

I've not fished that area, mostly the Texas Coast, but dead shrimp on a hook will almost always catch something in the surf. Sometimes it's trash fish, but often whiting and maybe even drum. It's certainly a good option for kids.Throwing silver spoons is another no brainer.

Look at Bama Beach Bum on YouTube for more specific ideas. I think he does guided beach trips also.
