GOHUNT - Filter and find hunts like never before

First Lite Merino wool

I used CORE4ELEMENT merino wool base layers the past couple seasons. Very comfortable and really keeps the stink down. Great for backcountry hunting. Most of my synthetic clothes never leave storage anymore.

smartwool

I wear smartwool religiously, and layer to either a wool shirt or a "wooly pully", then to Sleeping Indian pants and heavy shirt. Smartwool balaclava, Stormy Kromer Rancher, samrtwool socks with Fox River heavy weights over those, heavy wool gloves with the loop thinsulate lining. This is what I have arrived at after 40 years of experimental hypothermia, you can't beat what nature has provided for you - wool. And I don't miss the atomic B.O. that polypropylene seemed to generate, I think the stench of our 80s deer camps still hangs over the Nicolet Forest.
